A Church of England funeral is available to everyone, giving support before, during and after the service. Whether held in the church building, at the crematorium chapel or at a burial site our ministers will be pleased to talk with you about arranging either your own or a loved ones funeral service.

What happens at a funeral service?

A funeral can be very short and quiet with only a few members of the family present, or an occasion of great solemnity and thanksgiving with music, hymns and many people present.

The service is always personal and can include items that are special to you as a family reflecting the life of the person being remembered in ways that are most appropriate to you.

The minister taking the service will offer prayers and words of hope that speak of the love of God for every person and of the Christian hope of life beyond death.
