Mayor's Civic Service
Mayor of Charnwood, Cllr Dr Julie Bradshaw MBE, said: "The Civic Service is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, reflect, and celebrate the values that unite us.
“I would like to invite local residents to join us at All Saints with Holy Trinity Parish Church for this special occasion as we look forward to the year ahead."
There will be refreshments available after the service, giving people a chance to stay around for a chat.
There will also be a collection in aid of the Mayor’s chosen charities, Living Without Abuse (LWA) and Dogs Trust Loughborough, and All Saints with Holy Trinity Church’s appeal to fund repairs to the church's south roof.
LWA is a domestic and sexual abuse charity based in Loughborough. They provide support to men, women and children affected by domestic abuse and/or sexual violence across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
Dogs Trust cares for and rehomes dogs when they are in need. They also lend a helping hand to owners who may be struggling to look after their pets.
