Viva La Musica

'Fairest Isle' – an evening of music by Purcell performed by Loughborough-based chamber choir, Viva la Musica.
Henry Purcell (1659-95) is recognised as one of England’s finest composers, this concert is entirely dedicated to his music.
The chamber choir will break into smaller ensembles for much of this music as required, with quartets, trios, duets and solos, so using forces much like those which Purcell would have had at his disposal. The singers will be accompanied by Quinque Musici, a chamber string quartet with Nicholas Scott-Burt on harpsichord/chamber organ, and be conducted by the choir’s Music Director, Simon Lumby.
Tickets are £15 (£12.50 for Students, under 16s free) and are available now from www.vivalamusica.org.uk or on the door on the night.
