Ash Wednesday Communion Service

On this Ash Wednesday we begin the season of Lent with a service of penitence and are invited to receive the mark of the cross on our foreheads made from ash.

The words used by the priest as we are ashed are:

'Remember that you are but dust and to dust you shall return, turn away from sin and be faithful to Christ.'
