Baby Steps in New Testament Greek

A pair of mens hands clasped together in prayer on top of a bible

As part of our year of focussing on the Bible this is a great opportunity to learn a little about the original language of the New Testament. Penny Pullan, who herself has been studying Greek as part of an MA in Theology, is going to share some of what she has been learning.

Over four weeks, Penny will take us for some baby steps, starting with the Greek alphabet and getting to the stage where we can begin to understand some simple phrases. She will also introduce us to a range of free, online tools that make using New Testament Greek easier to learn than ever before in human history: interlinears with Greek and English alongside each other, videos of academic professors singing crazy songs to help you remember the alphabet, or grammar, and much more. You don't even need to buy a Greek New Testament as it is all available online.

Penny writes "Together we'll explore and learn and have fun and uncover insights that your own bible can never reveal. You don't need any sort of linguistic skill as we'll all be learning together."
