Evensong

Choir members lined up ready to walk in to church

Evensong is one of the oldest services in the Church of England, the basis of the current form dates back to 1549 but with liturgy and prayers that have their roots in the earliest centuries of Christianity.

Psalms, canticles (sections of scripture) and an anthem are sung by the choir providing a perfect moment of peace and calm amidst the business of life and at the end of the working day.
