Our Easter celebrations begin after sunset on Holy Saturday when we gather outside in the Rectory Wildlife Garden around a fire.
We shall hear the story of God's saving purposes for all creation with readings interspersed with song. The new Paschal (Easter) Candle is lit and we proclaim 'the light of Christ' before processing into church where the first Alleluia's of Easter are acclaimed.
This is a dramatic event moving from the darkness of the night into the brightness of a decorated church. Young children are very welcome to come along with adults to experience the drama.
Do wrap up warm as we shall be outside round the fire for quite a while! There is some seating in the Rectory Wildlife Garden but if you have a camping chair you can bring that would help.
